I was named “Hillary” by my mother, who was fascinated by the first caucasian climber to have reached the summit of Mount Everest, Sir Edmund Hillary. If our names influence our destiny, then it may just be the reason I fell in love with photographing the world, far and wide.
Travel assignments are my passion, but I am also fascinated with finding something extraordinary in an ordinary place. For me, photography is about capturing reality's richness, frame by frame, and sharing the beauty of this richness with others.
My clients include magazines, publishing companies, political campaigns, and stock photography, and I’ve donated my photography services to several non-profit organizations. In my spare time, I make mix tapes, study Buddhism, play guitar, and dream up my next travel adventure. Also, I’m obsessed with fonts.
